Active illumination microscopy is a simple and straightforward means by which to effectively control and manage the effects of photobleaching and phototoxicity in fluorescence microscopy. Through precise control of the illumination power, it is possible to eliminate image saturation while enhancing detection sensitivity at low signal levels.
