In honor of the IDEX Foundation’s 10th anniversary this year, sites across IDEX Health & Science were invited to participate in their annual food drive. In addition to an IDEX Foundation $10k donation to each site’s food bank of choice—doubling the donation from prior years—volunteers were challenged to see which site could donate the most canned goods from April through June. IDEX Health & Science employees collected over 10,000 pounds of food. Across all IDEX’s family of companies, employees broke records this year for food collected—totaling 22.5 tons and over $500,000 in total donations.
The Bristol team collected a variety of food items totaling 508 pounds. The food items were donated to the Zion Lutheran Church “Meals for Neighbors” Food Pantry to help stock the shelves. The organization also received a $10,000 donation from the IDEX Foundation.
The Middleboro site collected 1,937 lbs of food for the South Shore Community Action Council. Employees rallied together and collected a variety of boxed items. The organization also received a $10,000 donation from the IDEX Foundation.
Oak Harbor collected an impressive 6,246 lbs of food—surpassing the record they achieved last year for the site that collected the most pounds! They helped restock the nearly empty shelves at the North Whidbey Help House food pantry. The organization also received a $10,000 donation from the IDEX Foundation.
The Rochester team donated to Foodlink, a “Rochester-based nonprofit dedicated to ending hunger and building healthier communities by addressing both the symptoms and root causes of food insecurity. “ In addition to a $10,000 donation from the IDEX Foundation, our Rochester team was able to donate 315.5lbs of food!
The Rohnert Park site collected food for the Redwood Empire Food Bank. The team collected 1,580 pounds of food, which included 1,300lbs of rice from the swing shift! IDEX Foundation also donated $10,000.
Our Zweibrucken site in Germany collected food for the Zweibrücker Tafel Heilig Kreuz. The team collected also collected food, and the IDEX Foundation also donated $10,000.
