Press-Fit Ferrule and Lock Ring Combination Fitting Operating Instructions

If you've ever faced the challenge of finding reliable, easy-to-use fittings for low-pressure applications in tight or confined spaces, you're not alone. Engineers, lab technicians, and system designers often struggle to source components that offer both performance and convenience. BioTight® from IDEX Health & Science fittings deliver a seamless user experience specifically for low-pressure environments in tight spaces.

How does it work? BioTight® is as straightforward to assemble as it is to use.

Follow These Simple Operating Steps:

  1. Slide the fitting onto your tubing and add the black-colored lock ring, ensuring the ridge feature faces the fitting for 1/8-inch tubing.
  2. Slide the ferrule tube onto your tubing.
  3. Next, place the components into your intended port, inserting the port thread into the fitting while keeping pressure on the tube.
  4. Continue until you feel the lock ring bottom-out in the port. It’s that simple.
