Semiconductor and electronic component manufacturer ROHM and automotive manufacturer United Automotive Electronic Systems (UAES) have partnered on the establishment of a joint laboratory for silicon carbide (SiC) technology. The facility, located in Shanghai at UAES headquarters, contains equipment necessary for device and application evaluation in automotive, such as onboard chargers and DC/DC converters.
ROHM and UAES have collaborated since 2015 on automotive applications using SiC power devices.
