It also provides qualitative improvements with applicable value to public health, manufacturing, and the safety and quality of food. These and other applications are benefiting today from advancements in higher sensor resolutions, new lighting strategies, and more cost-effective system-level designs.

    Nonvisible imaging covers technologies operating outside the visible spectrum, which extends from roughly 380 to 750 nm.
