The Optical Society (OSA) has named Juergen Czarske of Technische Universitat Dresden (TU Dresden) the recipient of the 2019 Joseph Fraunhofer Award/Robert M. Burley Prize for seminal contributions to the field of digital interferometric and holographic sensors.
OSA President Ursula Gibson said, “Czarske’s achievements in optical engineering have led to significant innovation across several fields, including important biomedical applications.”
