Investigate NextGen Downstream Single Use Sensors—Join Our Exclusive Beta Partner Program!

Help shape next generation downstream sensing—before launch.

IDEX Health & Science is recruiting beta partners to evaluate NextGen single use sensor architectures designed specifically for downstream bioprocessing. This program focuses on chromatography, TFF/filtration, and mixing and hold operations—where sensing gaps most often limit speed, confidence, and data quality.

Built for bioprocess teams that need reliable inline data, reduced integration burden, and plug and play deployment.

What do beta partners receive?

  • Early access to NextGen downstream sensor concepts prior to commercialization
  • Hands-on evaluation of multi parameter sensor bundles and discrete sensor families in real workflows
  • Direct collaboration with IDEX Health & Science engineers on usability, integration, calibration, and data value
  • Priority consideration for expanded pilots and future supply or co development agreements

Beta Scope

  • Target workflows: Chromatography, TFF / filtration, mixing, and buffer prep
  • Sensor coverage: pH, conductivity, pressure, UV/Vis, turbidity, flow, and temperature
  • Core objective: Close downstream sensing gaps with purpose built, single use solutions

Downstream Applications

Chromatography

Confirm CQA relevant fractionation in real time, monitor column performance, detect fouling, and reduce offline sampling through multi attribute inline data.

TFF / Filtration

Quantify membrane fouling dynamics, predict filter lifetime, maintain stable flux, and move toward adaptive control rather than fixed SOPs.

mixing and buffering icon

Mixing, Buffer, and Hold Steps

Verify pH, conductivity, and mixing endpoints inline, reduce manual interventions, and accelerate readiness decisions for downstream processing.

Would you like to be a beta partner to evaluate NextGen Sensors?

We are seeking partners who can evaluate NexGen sensors in real downstream environments and provide structured feedback. Availability is limited. Participation does not guarantee commercial access.

The NextGen Solution Architecture- Three Complementary Pillars

1. Multi Parameter Sensor Bundles

Single use, application specific sensor bodies combining multiple measurements into one manifold connection and one cable.

Example Configurations Include:
  • Chromatography bundle: Multi wavelength UV (260 / 280 nm), conductivity, pre/post column pressure, turbidity, optional pH, integrated temperature
  • Smart Flux / TFF bundle: Differential pressure (TMP), flow, UV or turbidity, conductivity, temperature for fouling and flux analytics

Design Intent:
  • Reduced manifold footprint and dead volume
  • Richer inline, multi attribute data
  • Gamma compatible, pre calibrated, single use assemblies

2. Discrete Downstream Sensor Family

A harmonized family of purpose built single use sensors, each optimized for downstream flow paths but sharing a common mechanical and digital interface.

Sensor Options Include:
  • pH (optical fluorescence, gamma stable)
  • Conductivity (contactless C4D)
  • Pressure (non wetted membrane / strain gauge)
  • UV / Vis absorbance (multi wavelength LED)
  • Turbidity (optical scatter)
  • Flow (ultrasonic transit time)
  • Temperature (integrated RTD)

All sensors are designed for 1/4″ to 1″ tubing, consistent form factors, and standardized connectivity.

3. Common Protocols and Factory Calibration

A unified infrastructure layer that makes NextGen sensors truly plug and play.

  • NIST traceable factory calibration for each sensor
  • Digitally encoded calibration and metadata (sensor ID, serial number, and audit trail)
  • Automatic data transfer—no manual entry or calibration copying
  • Post-gamma stability validated across shelf life
  • Support for OPC UA and legacy 4-20 mA integration

Why This Matters

We're not asking you to take our word for it. We're inviting you to test our NexGen sensors in your facility, under your process conditions, and with your protocols.
