Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion are characteristics of High Performance Organizations (HPOs), which is why it is so important that we embrace and leverage all the things that make us uniquely different across IDEX Health & Science. Our organization is made up of multiple teams that drive our success. Diversity within teams has been proven to increase creativity, innovation, and performance. The Harvard Business Review reports “those in the top quartile for ethnic and racial diversity in management were 35% more likely to have financial returns above their industry mean.”

As part of our journey to become an HPO, IDEX Health & Science celebrated our inaugural Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Day in various ways across our different locations.

• Our Kawaguchi, Japan site came together for photos declaring “celebrate the strength that
  diversity brings.”

• Our Oak Harbor, Washington site tied the day into their Hispanic Heritage Month celebration with traditional cookies and desserts and information to celebrate Hispanic history, culture and contributions of Hispanic Americans. They also had a photographer take photos of all the employees to make a collage to be posted throughout the facility.
• Our Middleboro, Massachusetts site celebrated with a socially distanced cookout, ice cream truck, and created vision boards celebrating diversity that were placed around the facility.
• Our site in Zweibrücken, Germany decorated their front entrance with world flags and hung a large map for everyone to place a pin indicating where they were born.
