Community Engagement

“The unselfish effort to bring cheer to others will be the beginning of a happier life for ourselves."

Apr 29, 2025 by IDEX Health & Science

We believe in consistently striving to create value and improve the communities where our teams live and operate, which is why we understand the importance of discovering new and impactful ways to give back. Through our charitable organization the IDEX Foundation, we donated over $275K to various organizations and causes near our facilities in 2024.

Friends of Jack Teddy Bears

In May, Middleboro employees came together to bag teddy bears for the Friends of Jack Foundation🧸. These cuddly companions are distributed to local police, fire stations, and hospitals, where they are given to children facing stressful or scary situations. The Friends of Jack Foundation is dedicated to supporting overlooked programs that enhance the physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being of children.

Oak Harbor employees plan a community garden for Earth Day

Employees from our Oak Harbor facility came together and celebrated Earth Day  to build planter boxes for a new community garden. They planted several plants, including peppers, tomatoes, beans, cucumbers, and strawberries! Employees will soon be able to harvest these fresh goodies, and they are excited to expand this garden in the coming years.

Special Olympics in Connecticut Winter Games: IDEX Health & Science

In March, the spirit of camaraderie was in full swing as the team from our Bristol facility joined forces to cheer on and support the athletes of the Bristol Special Olympics at the 2025 Winter Games in Connecticut. From cheering loudly from the sidelines to assisting with equipment and parking duties, employees ensured athletes felt supported throughout the event. Employees also created vibrant signs, which were used during the opening ceremony. The IDEX Foundation also donated $9,750 to support the organization.

The Bristol team has volunteered for this event for the last several years. The games give athletes living with intellectual disabilities a chance to compete in several events, including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, figure skating, speed skating, and more.

Thank you to the Bristol team for exemplifying the company's commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others, one inspiring moment at a time

Chops Teen Club

A group of employees in Rohnert Park volunteered at Chop’s Teen Club in Santa Rosa. The team spent their time cleaning the facility and organizing projects. A similar volunteer event was held last year. The Teen Shop’s facility spans 21,000 square feet, and is open to 7th – 12th grade students after school and on the weekends. The mission of Chop’s Teen Club is to provide a safe, fun, and productive space where Sonoma County teens can engage, connect, and discover their true potential.
