In-Place Machining (IPM), a provider of measurement and alignment services, has acquired East Coast Metrology (ECM), a contract measurement company. The acquisition is part of IPM’s long-term growth strategy to expand reach and service offerings to customers and prospects across the U.S. and Canada. The move bolsters IPM’s Measurement and Alignment Services division, which includes Exact Metrology and OASIS Alignment Services.
ECM specializes in 3D scanning and modeling, reverse engineering and design, training and certification, instrument calibrations, equipment rentals, integration, and alignment services. The company is headquartered in Topsfield, Mass., and has a regional office in Wixom, Mich.
