BrightLine Basic single-band filter set, optimized for TRITC and other like fluorophores

Semrock Part Number: TRITC-A-Basic-NTE

IDEX Part Number: S-001972  /

Semrock

This filter set is ideal for use with TRITC and other similar fluorophores. When viewing TRITC visually, it has the "reddish" appearance with which many experienced microscopists are familiar. This hard-coated filter set is the best value on the market, delivering high brightness and contrast.

Note: Historical limitations in filter technology led to the widespread use of TRITC emission filters that are overly broad and red-shifted, causing the TRITC fluorescence to appear red. This BrightLine Basic filter set delivers that familiar "reddish" appearance. In contrast, Semrock's highest-performance BrightLine TRITC-B filter set is optimized for the best signal and noise performance, and since the TRITC emission band peaks in the orange, the fluorescence correctly appears orange – not red.

What is Pixel Shift, and how does the Semrock ZERO option help? Why Pixel Shift degrades multicolor fluorescence imaging performance, and how the ZERO™ option mitigates this for Avant and BrightLine filter sets.
Optimized – Filter set is specifically optimized for that fluorophore.
Compatible – Should result in nearly ideal performance in most situations.
Acceptable – Actual performance is dependent on specific experimental conditions.
