Consumable flow cells are designed for one-time use only and can range in complexity from single channel point-to-point devices to very complex multichannel devices. The most common applications for consumable flow cells are in the life sciences and medical device markets, most notably next generation sequencing, bioagent detection, diagnostic immunoassays and fluorescence imaging detection. The fact that sophisticated measurements are being made using throw-away cells has driven customers to demand a rare combination of price and performance.
